A mashup of these 5 songs: Taylor Swift - "Blank Space" (2014) Natasha Bedingfield - "Unwritten" (2004) Natalie Imbruglia - "Torn" (1997) Leona Lewis - "Bleeding Love" (2007) Kelly Clarkson - "Mr. Know It All" (2011) [I'd have put all their names in the title, but they don't fit in the 100 character limit.] Over the years hearing these songs on the radio and elsewhere, I've found myself (consciously and not) interchanging parts from the others in my mind. After recognizing this and identifying these 5 songs as connected this way to me, I realized how aesthetically and structurally similar they are to each other. This was confirmed when I started making the mashup. They're all in the key of F major and, after tempo adjustment, line up almost exactly as they appear in this mashup. That's why near the end, as noisy and incoherent as it may sound, I decided to let all 5 of their vocal tracks play at once. However, only the instrumentals of "Blank Space", "Unwritten", and "Bleeding Love" are used in this mashup (not "Torn" or "Mr. Know It All"), so the songs themselves aren't exactly playing at once, just mostly. Also, I don't know if this means anything, but each of these songs is under Sony (SME) except "Blank Space" (Universal (UMG)) which was released last.
