Fun Fair Cleanup

Today we attend the Pinner Fun Fair, a yearly event that attracts thousands of people, an event with a long and illustrious history, having been held in Pinner for - believe it or not - 700 years. It's great fun and I only have words of praise for the organisers... save for one thing: their rubbish management strategy, with which I kinda disagree. You see, a very thorough cleanup is performed, and they do a fantastic job at that, but only once the Fair is over. During the Fair there is nothing. Bins overflow, rubbish accumulates in piles, and people waddle through a literal sea of rubbish - you'll see what I am talking about. And I strongly believe that is an undignified experience for all participants, but especially disrespectful towards children - they don't deserve to see this and think it's normal or expected. If we want to change mentalities when it comes to littering, normalising it in front of our children is the exact opposite of what we should be doing. So I went out to demonstrate how even one person is enough to make a tangible difference and offer people a dignified experience at the Fair.
