This video is a compilation of some versions of Robert J. E. Hughes’ Home Movie of the Kennedy Motorcade. Robert Joseph Elmore Hughes was a man who was at the corner of Main Street and Houston Street and began filming the Old Red Courthouse (brick building seen) at about 10:42 AM. He then filmed a sequence of Dealey Plaza at about 11:06 AM. Then he filmed the crowd near him at around 12:01 PM. Then, at about 12:25 PM, he filmed the motorcade on Main Street. At 12:29 PM, he filmed the motorcade turning onto Houston Street and continued filming until the Presidential Limousine was Halfway down Houston Street. Then, he filmed a sequence of the aftermath of the assassination, a scene that also shows Orville Nix filming his sequence of the aftermath. All sequences after this are of the reaction of the assassination except two scenes. The first one being a scene of the southwest corner of the Texas School Book Depository, and the second one being a scene from Abraham Zapruder’s location and appears to be before the motorcade had arrived in dealey plaza, but is not in the correct order because this sequence is placed between the TSBD scene and a scene from the Main Street section of Dealey Plaza. All copies shown in this video belong to The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
