I have had this model in my collection since they first came out in the 60s, great fun but now needs a bit of TLC, So a good clean up and some modes, remove shaft and polish and ream bearings, change big heavy wire wound speed controller for a ESC and a 7.4 v lipo battery, will need to change prop for a smaller on as these boats can become very nasty if you over power them, they have a foil speed and best to keep to it, or you are airborne. First run on the lake, more to follow as changes get made. Hi I spend a nice quiet day at Northampton sailing day and got some my boats on the water , it was very quiet this year but I think with the football ladies on the television and the forecast of rain, ( it passed over us) kept the modellers away.
