My name is Dr. Jennifer Ezavin. I am a board certified nurse practitioner and a doctor of nursing practice, and today I'd like to discuss endometriosis and how it affects fertility in women. Endometriosis is a condition in which we can find cells that are similar to the lining of the uterus outside of the uterus. The structures that it affects are the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, and the structures that surround your pelvic area, creating a lot of and making egg implantation and fertilization more difficult. Pain with intercourse will also be a factor in the limitation of fertilization and therefore treating endometriosis and providing relief for these patients is paramount in the process of conceiving. How do we give solutions? The PRM Protocol™ helps with decreasing the inflammation along with the multimodal approach that we provide our patients.
