If you seek the magical spectacle of the Olive Ridley turtles at Velas, chart your course for Harihareshwar, not Velas Agar. Our quest for the Nanvel lighthouse revealed a unique detail: it's accessed only by boat from Dighi Jetty, which eluded us, explaining the endless circles on Google Maps and our unexpected route. After this adventure, we filled up at the HP petrol pump next to Nayara and set out along the gorgeous Konkan coastal road en route to Pune.
