To reiterate, this footage was NOT uploaded for ANY POLITICAL PURPOSE. This footage was NOT uploaded to glorify certain political parties, organisations or individuals. This was uploaded to provide a 'glimpse' of the operations of ABS-CBN during the 1960s (pre-1986) as little to no archives of the network exist from that era. Please at least try to be civil in the comments section. This footage was captured by Ted Koppel and the ABC New York news team as they were covering the 1969 Philippine Elections, particularly the use of mass media (television and radio) by both parties. I have uploaded parts of this footage before, but never the whole reel. Now I have. This is the entire thing. ABS-CBN, which was owned by the Lopez family, dedicated 8 hours of airtime in November 1969 (just before election day) campaigning for the Marcos-Lopez ticket as part of a special telethon broadcast known as "NP Bandwagon '69" (NP being the Nacionalista Party), which aired on the network’s channels 3 and 9. Interestingly just a few days later, ABS-CBN switched frequencies to channels 2 and 4. The footage was retrieved from the ABC News Archive. I had to painstakingly reorder the clips by chronological order as they were spread sporadically between two reels. Footage is copyright of ABC News from New York. This was posted SOLELY for TV archival purposes, NOT for any political means. © 1969 ABS-CBN Corporation and American Broadcasting Company ******************** Sources: ABC News Archive ******************** ===NOTICE=== I do not intend to infringe any copyright, the following materials here are the property of the mentioned copyright holder(s), and I have no intention to pirate or steal the material.
