My First Vlog Back in the UK After Leaving Dublin. In this vlog I share what life looks like for me and my family after leaving my job in Dublin and returning back to the UK. It feels good to finally be home with my family again, but at the same time I am still searching for a job in the UK. The challenge I am facing is that many of the jobs I am finding are far away from home. Taking those roles would mean travelling again and spending long periods away from my family, which is exactly what I was doing while working in Dublin. At home my wife was busy preparing pilau meat rice and sweet rice for iftar. The kitchen was full of amazing smells and it made the house feel warm and welcoming. Some of our neighbours also sent food for iftar which made the table even more special and reminded me how supportive our community is during Ramadan in the UK. As iftar time approached, I served my plate with both the pilau meat rice and the sweet rice and enjoyed it with fresh raita. The food tasted absolutely amazing and it was the perfect way to break the fast with family. After iftar we opened the Butlers Chocolates that I brought back from Dublin. To be honest they did not last long because the kids quickly enjoyed most of them. The next day was Jumma Friday and for iftar we decided to make chicken sliders which some people call mini pizzas. Everything was prepared and we ended up making more than a dozen sliders for the family. I also remembered some chocolates that were given to us by a supplier called Lader Rach from Switzerland. These chocolates are similar to Dubai style chocolates and the quality and taste were amazing. However it seems Zayn had already been enjoying them quietly, because when we checked only a couple were left for me, my wife and Zakei to share. To finish the evening I relaxed with a cup of tea and traditional Asian cake rusk, which is always a perfect way to end iftar.
