Welcome to the first vlog of the 'Dos and D' US Tour and what a place to kick things off… New York City 🇺🇸 We constantly get asked questions about how the podcast happens. How is Dos and D your full-time thing? How do you land guests? What does running a podcast actually look like? What does running a podcast business look like? This vlog series will showcase all of that and we can't wait to share everything with you guys. WHAT WENT DOWN IN NEW YORK 🏙️ We touched down, grabbed a classic New York slice, and got n early night before what could possibly be the biggest couple days on the tour. Day 2 was all about filming our first big challenge of the trip, the Dos and D NYC Scavenger Hunt. We won’t give too much away, but just know it involved chaos, public embarrassment, questionable choices, and a whole lot of laughs. That full video is coming soon and it is unhinged. Then came our first podcast day, and New York delivered a couple of beauties! First interview was at the iconic Aussie hotspot 'Old Mate’s Pub', recording downstairs in the legendary Sticky Carpet Room with Brad Blanks, Aussie media legend, New York veteran, and one of the funniest humans alive. After the interview we went upstairs for a pot and parma, and we were joined by Eddy Buckingham, the founder of Old Mate’s and a genuine Aussie hospitality icon in NYC. Completely off camera, he shared some unreal stories about how the pub came to life, and we captured a few cool moments of that chat for the vlog. After that, we jumped on the subway to Brooklyn to sit down with Tom Nicholls, former AFL player turned investment banker, DJ, and owner of Glory Days café based in Brooklyn. Such a legend, and we can’t wait to drop that episode soon. It’s Dos and D, unfiltered. And this is just the beginning. This vlog is powered by CYGNETT 🔌 We’re filming constantly, uploading on the go, navigating cities, and running a full podcast production out of backpacks… and Cygnett’s chargers, power banks, and cables are literally keeping the whole tour alive.
