Russia’s $15T Arctic Route FALLS APART — Icebreakers Stuck, Main Lifeline Forced to Shut Down Putin has become so fixated on 20th-century maps that he has lost the Arctic Ocean, the greatest treasure of the 21st century. Russia's Northern Sea Route (NSR), which could transform global trade with its $25 trillion oil, gas, and rare earths potential, has now been reduced to rubble. For every inch of mud gained in the south, an ocean in the north has been sacrificed, and $5 trillion has evaporated from Russia's future. In this video, we analyze Russia's strategic suicide in the Arctic and its global geopolitical consequences: TECHNOLOGICAL DEPENDENCE AND BANKRUPTCY: Reports from the Onega Shipyard revealed that Russia's icebreaker vision was 80% dependent on French and Finnish technology. When the West pulled the plug, Onega Shipyard's Icebreaker7 project was canceled, and Russian shipbuilding capacity collapsed. THE COLLAPSE OF THE NSR: As the icebreaker fleet shrank due to malfunctions and parts shortages, the NSR, now 40% shorter between Asia and Europe, became an "unreliable route." The dream of rivaling the Suez and Panama was dashed by the incompetence of Russian industry. GEOPOLITICAL DIVISION (NATO LAKE): With the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO, seven of the eight Arctic Council members became NATO members. Russia's Northern Fortress effectively became a "NATO Lake." Murmansk, the nuclear haven, is now surrounded by US F-35s and NATO submarines. CHINA'S LIEN-BAND: Russia, desperate to trade and sell energy in the NSR, has been forced to lease Chinese vessels. It sells its oil and gas to Beijing at 30-40% undervalued prices. Russia has become China's "Raw Material Colony" and debtor.
