Friday Jan 13th ,2023 In this skills & score activity from Steven Poacher's excellent annual coaching series, in St Joseph's High School Newry, here Galway coach John Divilly ( in horrendous conditions!) goes through a "SKILLS & SCORE" activity....interesting especially it's not the traditional forwards facing the goal and the defenders in their way....great to see an attack starting from a different angle. EXPLANATION (if you can't follow the vid!!) -Defenders are one side the pitch -Forwards at the other -EXECUTING THE SKILLS Defenders pass to each other and then middle player kicks to forwards the\ far side -EXECUTING THE SKILLS Forwards gather and execute a hand pass and kick pass before 3rd player g\ athers posession -This player then can decide to shoot if in position to do so or return p\ ass to one the other players....The defenders try to prevent the score.
