Day 2 of testing the ESR Suspension air forks at Glen Helen, Arroyo vet track. After Tuesday's testing I was impressed. ESR already has these air forks dialed in so I really didn't know what to expect with this latest update. The forks are more plush, have better hold up, are more compliant on the mogul sized braking bumps that develop at Glen Helen and have better high speed absorption when landing off of the jumps. I purposely over jumped some of the jumps (even though it may not look like it in the video!), namely the jump passing the tower, the jump after the sand wash section and the jump after the step down coming back onto the lower part of the track. At 143 pounds of air, I settled on 20 out on compression and 17 out on rebound and I got no bottoming and a smooth but progressive compression when landing. The fork measuring rings had about 1 1/2" of travel left which is fine for the vet track and would be perfect for a bit more compression travel on the National track. I could rail a turn, go inside and even cut down mid turn and the front end stuck. I thought ESR's air forks were good before this latest update but I am very impressed with this latest update and they are fantastic now. No need for me to spend big bucks for a spring conversion!!
