The long-awaited spring has finally arrived. Summer is just around the corner, which means vacation season, swimming, sunbathing, relaxing. All you need is a good swimsuit, not one, but two or even three. Nowadays, when the choice of clothing is becoming more and more expensive, more and more people are thinking about creating something with their own hands. And this is right, because in this way you can not only save money, but also show your individuality and talent. Let's sew a swimsuit, or rather the top part without a special pattern. All you need is a suitable fabric and a bra that you donβt mind cutting, using it we know for sure that the size will fit. The fabric must be elastic, quick-drying and resistant to sun and water. It can be lycra or polyester. This model is suitable for a slim figure, which is what we strive for. First, we make a pattern for a quarter circle with a radius of 22 cm. We take the fabric, fold it in four and cut it out. We also prepare strips for the straps and girth. Dimensions in this diagram. Cut out the cups from the bra. Sew the edges using an overlocker. We sew straps from parts 5x50 cm. We insert an elastic band inside, 35 cm long and 1 cm wide. We attach the edges. The result was a small drapery. We take two parts of the bodice. Connect with right sides facing inward. We insert the strap into the corner and sew on both straight sides. We find the middle on the cup and apply it to the bodice from the back side in this way. We lay 4 folds in one direction, 1 cm deep. We sew the ends of the cups by hand in the places where they lay. We place the details of the bodice one on top of the other at a distance of 5 cm. The main part of the swimsuit is ready. Now we take a blank 10 x 90 cm and attach it to the bodice We mark 11 cm from the edges of the bodice and pin the other ends of the straps. We sew the strip into a ring, then tuck it in. We insert a wide elastic band, 60 cm long, inside. We put stitches on the sides so that the elastic does not unravel during use. A chic item for the summer is ready. All that remains is to sew the bottom part, itβs very easy. All the best!
