This reduces heat in both the Motherboard as well as the power brick! (2) The fans are running faster removing the heat from the heat sinks keeping the whole Xbox 360 cooler. Note: By Robbing power from the DVD Drive cable you cause your Xbox 360 and your power brick to run hotter to compensate for the add power consumption defeating the original intention of cooling down the Xbox 360. Yes you will have to deal with yet another plug but the prolonged use of your Xbox is worth the added plug! HO! More air flow means cleaning twice as often because dust will build up faster!!!
