A tense situation erupted in Belaguntha of Ganjam district as a group clash broke out between two local communities during the Makar Yatra celebrations. What started as a verbal argument escalated into a violent confrontation late at night. More than five people were injured in the clash, and two seriously injured persons have been admitted to Belaguntha Medical. The incident intensified when members of one group went to the police station to file a complaint and came face-to-face with the opposing group. Bhanjanagar SDPO Deepak Mishra, along with Bhanjanagar and Jagannath Prasad police forces, reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
