Artistic Director Charles Bruffy conducts a choir of 28, (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) and three soloists (Soprano I , Soprano II, Alto - best rendered by children's voices). The work was premiered by Aoede Consort (28 voices) in Carnegie Hall on January 22, 2012, where Pleshakov also played Beethoven's Opus 111 Sonata. With Elena Winther he played the two-piano version of Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances, where the Finale employs the same Russian znamennyi chant as another of Pleshakov's works, "Counsel of Angels" , also on the program. Some 14 of Pleshakov's choral works were performed on this program, eight of them as world premieres.
