Is the BOSS SD-1 OverDrive the same as the BOSS OS-2 overdrive setting?

This is a quick comparison of a BOSS SUPER OverDrive SD-1 with a BOSS OverDrive / Distortion OS-2. I am only using the OverDrive (OD) side of the OS-2 in this video. A longer version of this video can be viewed at    • LONG - Is the BOSS SD-1 OverDrive the same...   The overdrive pedals are going into the front of a Marshall JTM-45 head (channel 1) and 1936 cab. To keep the video short, I am only varying the DRIVE control but I may make a longer version were I vary the TONE as well. The SD-1 is louder than the OS-2 OD side so I increased the LEVEL on the OS-2 to match the SD-1 The pedals sounded a lot closer than I was expecting. It will be interesting to compare the distortion side of the OS-2 to the Boss DS-1 but that will be a future video. I used the bridge pickup on a USA Fender Stratocaster for all the rhythm guitar parts and the neck pickup for the lead.
