My Favorite 50mm Lens!! || 5 Reasons the Sony Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 is My Go-To Choice

Within the Sony E-Mount lens ecosystem, there are a range of 50mm lens options to choose from, perhaps the most notable now being the Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM, which is a showpiece lens...but also comes with a showpiece price point. That said, there is a lens that is often overlooked that - while technically not a 50mm lens - may be one of the best options out there in this focal length that has become my go-to "50mm" lens of choice. In this review video, I'll discuss my top 5 reasons why the Sony Zeiss Sonnar T* 55mm f/1.8 lens is a truly special lens within the Sony system that encompasses some of the best attributes among Sony's different lens (great autofocus, sharpness, compact size) while also being a unique offering in many regards. I'll also discuss some personal stories in using this lens across different cameras like the Sony a6500, a7 III, a7S III and a7 IV that have impressed me throughout various gigs and shooting situations. Other than perhaps the 50mm f/1.2 GM, I genuinely think this is the best 50mm near equivalent lens within the Sony Alpha system, and offers a ton of great benefits itself for less than half of the GM price.
