Today, we are showcasing a successful Splenic Artery Embolization procedure carried out on a 38-year-old male patient in our state-of-the-art Premier Elite Cathlab. Procedure Overview: The procedure commenced by gaining access through the femoral artery, followed by the careful selection of the celiac artery using a 4- or 5-French curved catheter. In certain cases, a reversed curve catheter was employed to access the celiac axis. A comprehensive celiac angiography was performed, not only to assess the anatomy of the splenic artery but also to identify collateral sources supplying the spleen, including the left gastric artery, gastroepiploic arteries, and branches of the pancreatic artery.
