[Title] Chemistry and Application of Porous Coordination Polymers/Metal-Organic Frameworks [Speaker] Dr. Susumu KITAGAWA Professor Deputy director of Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) Kyoto University [Date & Time] Friday, May 13, 2011 4:00p.m. [Place] INAMORI Hall, Ito campus, Kyushu University [Abstract] The recent advent of porous coordination polymers (PCPs) or Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as new functional microporous materials, have attracted the attention of chemists and physicists since our group has first demonstrated the reversible gas adsorption at ambient temperature. Hereafter, PCPs research has been on a fast track due to not only scientific but also application interest in storage, separation, transport, and catalytic conversion and in the finding of novel phenomena.
