Air India Crash: US NTSB Warns Media Reports Are 'Premature & Speculative'

The United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued a statement regarding the investigation into the crash of Air India Flight 171 on the 12th of June. The agency has described recent media reports about the cause of the crash as "premature and speculative in nature," and has urged caution against drawing early conclusions. This comes after India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) submitted an initial report which noted that the fuel was cut off mid-flight, leading to a conversation between the pilots in the cockpit where one denied touching the fuel switches.
