Anand Ranganathan presents a sharp critique of the current government’s impact on the Hindu community over the past 11 years. He argues that despite strong rhetoric, not a single genuinely “pro-Hindu” action has been implemented. Ranganathan cites data shared by Amit Shah in Parliament, stating that over the last 10 years, Waqf authorities have occupied 20 lakh acres of land. He notes that such expansion did not occur even during the Congress era and questions whether the Home Minister’s statement was accurate. Ranganathan claims that no community has been as misled in the last 11 years as the Hindu community. He dismisses trends like “bhajan clubbing” and increased public discussion of epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata as superficial distractions from deeper structural issues. He highlights a major concern regarding education: Thousands of Hindu-run schools are shutting down. 17,000 schools have already closed in Maharashtra alone. According to him, this is due to a policy requiring 25% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) applied only to Hindu institutions, while Muslim and Christian institutions are exempt. These schools, already under financial strain, cannot sustain delays of 3–4 years in government reimbursements, leading to widespread closures. Ranganathan points out that the Places of Worship Act remains in force, which prevents Hindus from legally reclaiming demolished temples through courts. He questions the nature of a democracy that restricts such legal avenues while promoting cultural narratives as substitutes. He warns about large-scale religious conversions, predicting that some Indian states could see Christian majorities within 20–30 years. He also criticizes policy inconsistency: An anti-conversion bill was promised in Punjab (for Sikh conversions) but No similar commitment has been made for Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, where Hindu conversions are a concern. Ranganathan states that he is merely acting as a “medium” to convey uncomfortable truths, regardless of whether people choose to ignore these issues in favor of entertainment or cultural activities like “bhajan clubbing.” #anandranganathan #placesofworshipact #religiousconversion #waqf #amitshah #BJP
