RMS Lusitania (90m) - diving deep inside a world famous shipwreck

Technical dive to 90 metres inside the RMS Lusitania shipwreck off Ireland. The famous WW1 ocean liner sank in 1915 after torpedo attack by German U-boat U-20, killing 1,198 people. This deep wreck dive explores the massive Scotch boilers and discovers rare artifacts including a 1930s diving lamp from previous expeditions. The Lusitania lies at 90 metres depth off the Old Head of Kinsale, Ireland. Built by Cunard Line in 1906, she was one of the fastest ocean liners of her era. Her sinking helped bring America into World War 1 and remains one of the most significant maritime disasters in history. This technical wreck penetration dive uses CCR rebreather and trimix to safely explore deep inside the deteriorating structure. The wreck is challenging due to depth, current, and poor visibility, making it one of the most advanced shipwreck dives in Irish waters. Deep wreck penetration at 90 metres is extremely dangerous and should only be attempted by qualified technical divers with proper equipment, training, and support.
