Send Email from a Schneider Electric PLC using Gmail

STANDARD ELECTRIC SUPPLY: http://www.standardelectricsupply.com/ This video illustrates how to send an e-mail from a Schneider Electric M241, M251 or M340 PLC, a Magelis HMI, or other industrial device using a Gmail, Yahoo or other public e-mail account via SMTP. As with other industrial devices, a separate computer is required to provide the necessary SSL encryption before sending the mail to an e-mail server. This video describes how to use a free software called STunnel to do that. SoMachine v4.2 or later is required to use the Email function blocks. This video does not cover cyber security or any of the best practices with firewalls or other forms of network protection.
