After visiting the Kamen Rider Kuuga Exhibition inside Nagoya PARCO, I decided to explore a little longer before heading back to Shinjuku. But the moment I stepped outside, I walked straight into something completely unexpected. Right outside the doors a parade was already moving through the streets. It turned out to be part of the Nagoya Festival taking place on October 18th, 2025. This festival celebrates some of the region’s most famous historical figures, including Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. The Hometown Heroes Parade features performers in detailed historical armor and costumes, marching bands, dancers, dancers, and colorful floats moving through the city. I had no idea it was happening, so accidentally stepping right into the middle of it felt like perfect timing. For the next few videos, I’ll walk along parts of the parade route to see what kinds of floats, costumes, and performances appear as the celebration continues through Nagoya. Have you ever randomly stumbled into a festival or parade while traveling? Let me know in the comments!
