Newly released bodycam footage captures the tense moments when Austin Police Officer Joshua Jackson confronted 45-year-old Danny Palomino, armed with what appeared to be a real handgun, while sitting in a wheelchair on a busy street. Despite repeated commands, Palomino allegedly raised the weapon toward the officer, prompting Jackson to open fire. The “gun” was later identified as a realistic-looking air pistol. Palomino died at the hospital.
