Geological Field Work in the High Andes | DAY IN THE LIFE

University of Arizona Geoscience PhD students Caden Howlett and Chance Ronemus recently completed a ten-week field season in the south-central Andes of South America (31-36S). This video records an average day in the life of a geologist. We sample rock for thermochronology, give some tips on conducting field work abroad, and reveal our normal base camp operations.
