Ier Jonathan-Ichaver is a graduate of Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds a Masters degree in Political Management from the George Washington University, DC, USA . Ier resumed at Sesôr in December 2013 as Executive Director after over seven years at the United Nations Children’s Fund’s (UNICEF). She was inspired to establish Sesôr, an NGO after her family and village in the Nyiev-Tiev community in Benue state, Nigeria got badly affected by violent conflict with another community in 2009. Since inception, Sesôr has provided support to over 2500 internally displaced persons. Gist Nigeria is a 30-minute current affairs programme, co-produced by Channels Television and the BBC.
