He has collaborated with many jazz greats, including Tom Harrell, Kenny Barron, David Sánchez, Don Byron, Oliver Lake, Randy Brecker, and many others. Blake is also known for his work as a member of the Omer Avital Quintet and the Ravi Coltrane Quartet. In his own projects, Blake has brought together a number of high profile musicians including Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Avishai Cohen, and Ben Street. His playing is characterized by energy and creativity, and he is highly regarded by critics and audiences alike. John Ellis is recognized as one of the leading voices on the tenor saxophone. Based in New York, he earned 2nd place at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition and has appeared on more than 100 albums as a sideman with artists such as Sting, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Charlie Hunter, Robert Glasper, among others. Fabian Almazan is a Cuban-American jazz pianist, composer, and film scorer who stands out not only for his virtuosity but also for his stylistic and thematic depth. He studied with Kenny Barron and Jason Moran, and since 2007 has been the pianist in Terence Blanchard’s band. Almazan runs Biophilia Records, a label dedicated to connecting music with environmental awareness. His music blends elegance, lyrical depth, and orchestral breadth—sometimes intimate, sometimes polemical, always rich in nuance. Ben Street has been a fixture in the world of jazz double bass since the 1990s. He studied with Miroslav Vitous and Dave Holland before moving to New York, where he is a sought-after player in all sub-genres of jazz. He has worked with Lee Konitz, Sam Rivers, Ben Monder, Joey Calderazzo, Cindy Lauper and is a member of the Billy Hart Quartet together with Mark Turner and Ethan Iverson. He can be heard on more than 100 recordings and is the winner of the Down Beat Critics Poll 2020. Jalen Baker is an American vibraphonist who has quickly established himself as a distinctive new voice in jazz. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago in 2017 and a Master’s in Jazz Studies from Florida State University in 2019. His two albums, This Is Me, This Is Us (2021) and Be Still (2023), received wide acclaim in publications such as Jazziz and Downbeat. As both a sideman and bandleader, he has collaborated with artists including Ulysses Owens Jr., Jeremy Pelt, and Leon Anderson, and performs regularly on international stages. Baker combines technical mastery with emotional depth – his playing is witty, passionate, and always inspiring.
