I had this project in the pipeline for quite a while! Roberta and Lorenzo wrote it I think over a year and a half ago but I only found the time in the last few weeks to get into it. Every time I return to a video essay I understand why I like this work so much. Being face to face with the movie like when I was at film school. You and editing. You and directing. You and nothing else. I admit that French cinema is not really in my preferences, but Guy Gilles is really a forgotten auteur who deserves a lot of attention, whatever your taste. So I hope you enjoy this video! Let me know what you think in the comments! Credits A video essay by Luca Grazioli Written by Roberta Marini & Lorenzo Gafforini Performed by Amelia Bolton Sound design & mix by Fabio Seccamani Produced by SeiOttavi This video essay had its first screening on 18 January at Mo.Ca in Brescia (Italy) during the presentation of Millihelen, a novel by Lorenzo Gafforini.
