Video inspired by Passenger - The Last Unicorn, beautiful song In Blue began about ten years ago now. It was a poem that I began writing at 16, it's about how someone who came into my life and made me change how I saw things, my world went from being grey to having a dash of blue, their favourite colour. It's as though each person in life is a paintbrush on our canvas that is our life, each one leaving a mark or colour. The person this is about was blue. It was their favourite colour, and blue just so happens to be the colour of sadness. In a world of grey, he at least added blue... even though it was sad. I waited a long time for him, thinking we would get back together and years passed. It was for the best, of course, as it always is, but it feels nice finally putting this out there and letting it go. I have found my colours now, so much more than grey and blue, and I hope that the person that this is about is living in their brightest colours too.
