Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Ashley Magovern earned her MD from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed her medical internship at Stanford University, and her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she was elected to serve as chief resident. She spent two years in the dermatology department at UC San Francisco conducting skin research, and completed a one-year fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, working with a leader in pediatric dermatology. Before opening her private practice in Manhattan Beach, California, she worked alongside world-renowned dermatologist Howard Murad at the Murad Inclusive Health Medical Group, who taught her the importance of integrative medicine and catapulted her curiosity in treating the whole person, not just the skin. She recently completed a certificate course in Integrative Dermatology and has devoted the next part of her career to helping patients achieve total skin wellness and health. She has transformed her clinic into a forward-thinking place that combines skin health, beauty and wellness.
