If you’re planning a visit to the northern Lakes, our Braithwaite Village camping site is the perfect spot to explore from. Located just 3 miles from the pretty tourist town of Keswick and all its attractions, the campsite is positioned in the striking backdrop of the Coledale Horseshoe and enjoys dramatic views towards Skiddaw and the Northern Fells. On the site, you’ll find an impressive amenity block, a washing up area, a laundry, backpacker room, bike servicing point and dog wash, perfect for your four-legged friend after a lakeside walk. The local village of Braithwaite is on your doorstep with a local shop, café and pub offering both drinks and food. Sitting at the foot of Winlatter Pass, this site is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists. Head to Whinlatter Forest to explore a different side to the Peaks, here you will find several walking and mountain biking trails winding through the forest or for something a little different, try a Segway Safari or swing from the trees on a Go Ape Treetop Challenge. If you prefer something less energetic, The Lake Distillery is the perfect spot. Here you can enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the distillery to witness how the Whisky is produced, then after, enjoy a little tipple.
