The Truth About Truth - John 14:1-14 (Jan. 18, 2026)

Jesus has just broken the news to His disciples that He is about to be betrayed, and will soon be leaving them to go someplace where they cannot follow. Not understanding that Jesus means He is about to return to the Father, the disciples are understandably concerned and upset. Jesus uses the opportunity to share some encouraging truths with them about his imminent departure, and to hint at the coming of the Holy Spirit. Namely, Jesus will not leave His people to fend for themselves. He goes to prepare a place for us. One day He will return for us. He will introduce us to the Heavenly Father. And between now and then, He will empower us to do great and amazing things.
