Other major economic indices would be PMI, CPI, and PPI. And if you are not sure what some of them mean, feel free to watch my other videos. And here is an example. The PCE basically measures how much people spend on average on goods and services. Which might sound the same as the CPI, or the Consumer Price Index. But the difference here is that the PCE shows average spending on everyday purchases, while the CPI shows the change in prices of these goods and services. The PCE along with other indices shows the economic state of a country. And in combination with the CPI, these two are biggest contributors towards the inflation. The PCE and the CPI, generally speaking, are inversely related. If the CPI goes up, meaning that goods and services become more expensive, the PCE goes down, because people spend less.
