This video compiles all twelve episodes of BioWare's discontinued Galactic Timeline series, as well as the first three cinematic trailers (Decieved, Hope, and Return), for STAR WARS: The Old Republic. The intent was to create a single, (roughly) chronological short film of sorts, which could serve as a one-stop shop introduction to the time period and the game (barring, of course, the comics and novels). As such, the videos are recut and rearranged in a way that, I think, better suits a first-time viewer, and makes for a more cinematic experience. If you're looking to view them completely unabridged and in release order, I would recommend this video • Star Wars the Old Republic: Galactic Timel... by @Callums_Cantina, or the original videos found on the official @swtheoldrepublic YouTube channel. I'm still relatively new to video editing, so as always, I'm open to feedback, suggestions, constructive criticism, etc. For those who are unaware... "Galactic Timeline is a series of in-universe videos that provides backstory for the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game. The videos were released on swtor.com and presented in the form of record entries made in the Jedi Archives by Jedi Master Gnost-Dural who narrates the history of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order. [. . .] After Timeline 12, the remaining videos were discontinued in early 2011, as the content was growing less relevant to the game." (Wookieepedia) Disclaimer: this is an unofficial production, meaning I am in no way associated with EA, BioWare, Lucasfilm or Lucasfilm Games, John Williams, Lance Henrikson (Gnost Dural), or anyone else that may have had a hand in creating the original series. Credit goes to them for all art, imagery, music, voicework, and so on.
