In this video we don't actually see any of the surgery, just the implants post operatively. They are analysed and compared by Mr. Richards, who is filming, and performing the voiceover. Our patient had her implants inserted in 1999, and she did not know what implants she had. She contacted her surgeon, but could not source the information she was seeking. On the right she developed a grade 3 capsule, which is very firm and painful. It will also be very tight and be squashed out of shape. On the left, our patient had already had a scan, which informed her she had a ruptured implant. She was not aware of the type or size of implants before the surgery. After surgery we know the ruptured implant is a PIP, but the other implant was not. The PIP was 350cc whereas the implant within the capsule from the other side was 370cc.
