Roggero RGo-M, Malaysian Blackwood & Swiss Moon Spruce | Carl Miner

Perfectly seated in the Concert and OM guitar range in its dimensions, Brice Roggero's RGo-M is an ideal fingerstylist's guitar with an even bass and clear, sweet trebles. But it also toggles seamlessly intro strumming, making it an excellent companion for songwriters and vocalists. On this one, Brice has used a set of tight-grained Swiss moon spruce for the soundboard, and Malaysian blackwood, which is just as beautiful a tonewood in sound as it is in looks. Where African blackwood is actually a rosewood in the Dalbergia genus, Malaysian blackwood is perhaps more closely related to ebony being in the Diospyros genus (though that seems to be up for some debate!). Either way, like many other ebonies, it's a fabulous alternative to Brazilian rosewood, with a strong bell-like response that is borne out here on this RGo-M.
