1984 Mexican Spec Ford Mustang BB - 51128M Hello Friends Here we have a 1984 Mexican Spec Ford Mustang Bubble Back. This was the last year Ford Mexico made the Mustang as the V8 engine was outlawed for the 1985 model year. Every Mustang sold in Mexico from 1964 1/2 to 1984 had a V8 engine under the hood. Under this hood is a Mexican 302 V8 mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. The interior features black leather front buckets. The drivers seat has a seam that is separating. That should be an easy fix. The rear seat is also covered in black leather. The dash pad was covered in orange vinyl as was the center console. If that is not your speed they both can be changed. The Bubble Back design was only used on the Mercury Capri in the US, but in Mexico it was used for the Mustang. You might notice on this car that it has the Mustang hood and grille with the more bulging Capri fenders to match the rear. The Bubble Back is a love it or hate it proposition for most people. Personally, I like the visibility it gives you to the rear. Remember this rear end treatment stemmed from the car being used in racing. The car is riding on 5 spoke wheels with the Mustang logo on the center caps. I would recommend a new set of tires for safety reasons. These Four-Eyed Mustangs are going up and up in value. When you find a clean example for a good price, you should grab it. The vehicle delivered to the Nogales border will be $10,999 dollars. This includes professional transport from southern Mexico to my location then I will trailer it the rest of the way.
