Marklin 3028 Digital Conversion - ESU Lokpilot V4.0 kit. We only did the basic upgrade. This video is intended to give you an idea of running characteristics at slow speed, and the quality of the lights (we left them grounded through the frame). The motor was converted from AC to DC with the magnet from the ESU kit (you can opt to upgrade the motor to a 5-pole motor, using a Marklin motor upgrade kit). The lights were left as original (you can opt to isolate each bulb, so the frame of the locomotive is no longer used as ground. This option eliminates the flickering of the lights, but requires new light fixtures and bulbs).
