2-Cavity mold for Santoprene Belt - Medium Machinery Injection Molder

This is a little belt we use in our sensor lineup to secure component modules on circuit boards in rough or vibration intensive environments so they don't leave their sockets. The mold is three parts. Core, cavity, and a third part that is a flush runner to feed two sprues. It's 4" x 4" and was milled on a Tormach 770 CNC. The core and cavity sides were milled from 3/8" aluminum. The runner was milled from 1/4" aluminum. The material is Santoprene TPE, an ExxonMobile product, used a lot in automotive applications like windshield gaskets. Medium Machinery injection molding machine is demonstrated. This video walks through the mold components and then also demonstrates two cycles in the Medium Machinery machine.
