Die neue Single von The Pure besticht durch gewohnt exzellentes Songwriting und überrascht mit erfrischenden Arrangement-Ideen. "Wake Up" versteht sich dabei weniger als weitere, allzuhäufig bemühte Gesellschaftskritik, sondern vielmehr als subtiler Weckruf. "Wenn die Zeiten etwas härter werden, muss man aufwachen und sich mit den Gegebenheiten auseinandersetzen", bringt es The Pure-Frontmann Raimund Waibl auf den Punkt. Seien es verzogene Kinder, seelenlose Bankiers oder einfache Arbeiter, alle haben ihren Teil zur Verbesserung der Lage beizutragen. Produziert wurde "Wake Up" von Andreas Kappeller zusammen mit Raimund Waibl, die sich besonders für die Auswahl der richtigen Sounds viel Zeit genommen hatten. Gastmusiker wie Thomas Riesner (Geige) und "Powerflute" Sandro Friedrich vervollständigten das Projekt. Während Thommy Tschuggnall sein ausgezeichnetes Renommee als Mixing Engineer unter Beweis stellte, verpassten die Mastering-Granden im Londoner Metropolis Studio "Wake Up" den letzten Schliff. Ein Video Clip, das im legendären Prime Studio gedreht wurde, rundet das Bild ab. CBM und The Pure scheuten keine Kosten und Mühen, um ein der erfolgreichen Band gerecht werdendes Produkt zu kreieren. Mit der Veröffentlichung von "Wake Up" leuteten die Band und ihr Musikverlag offiziell die Arbeiten zu dem 2013 erscheinenden neuen Album ein.
