Watch here: • Risograph vs Laser: What's the difference?... This is Part 1 of 2 talking about booklet basics for zines and comics. In preparing this video, I thought back to what information I think would have helped my clients in the booklet set-up process, especially those that were just starting out in their comics and zine adventures and were figuring out how this whole layout situation worked. I hope this helps to clarify things somewhat, even though I think I may have gone a bit too in-depth, but I think it's just better to put things out there for completeness' sake. At the end of the day, though, we just want great booklets and zines and happy clients and if this even helped alleviate some confusion, then this video did something right. If this video made you more confused, I'm very sorry! Part 2: Risograph Booklet Zine Layout Tutorial: Photoshop: • Risograph Photoshop Booklet Zine Layout Tu... It takes quite a lot for me to plan and record a tutorial so I may skip a week or two before Part 2 comes out. So a note about the animation - I threw this together very quickly in After Effects so it's not perfect, and I'm aware it can be better, and if I had more time and resources, I would have fixed it up more. However, this isn't some fancy animation job for a marketing campaign and sometimes, one just has to get what needs to be done, done. :-) I am interested in eventually creating storytelling videos (not like personal storytimes but literary-type artistic storytelling videos) so we'll see how this progresses in the future. I'm learning so much since I started Youtubing, and overall it has done wonders for me personally despite the difficulties. ** Please consider supporting me in creating these videos by purchasing a very cute enamel pin from the pindot store: https://ko-fi.com/pindotpress ALSO (LOL) if you like my content, I would really appreciate if you can please subscribe to my channel (because Youtube will only reward me if I hit 1,000 subscribers). *** All About Riso Tutorial: • ALL ABOUT RISO | olivia and pindot | risog... *** Camera: Iphone 5c Editing: Olivia O Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects *** Regarding featured zines, I have put a bunch of tags here: 12:39 Hello Boyfriend at https://www.helloboyfriend.ca/ is the group behind the zines that I featured in 01:22 and 01:30.
