At the moment I'm in the process of building another pond in my yard. I already have 4 of the pumps on my dream pond, I really like them. Modifying electrical equipment or cabling (including low-voltage systems) may require a licensed electrician. When I'm selecting a pump there are 3 things i consider: How much flow i need. That is the amount of flow i need for the filter. Also the flow i might need for any jets, waterfalls or streams. How much head height i need to achieve. In this pond i need to make sure i have enough for the filter and a 6m long stream. I also like to have a margin of error, which is why i like adjustable pumps. Energy efficiency. I don't want to spend any more than i need to on electricity costs. So the lower the watts for the amount of flow i need the better.
