River Durance | France Kayak

After 2 amazing days on the Soča river, we packed our stuff and headed to France. The destination was Saint-Clément-sur-Durance, the name says it all, we are paddling on the Durance. The trip was quite long, but the place we found for camping was amazing so we could have a good rest before going on the water the next day. The next morning we arrived at the really nice slalom course, but packed with big groups of kayakers. As the river was unknown to us we were happy to see so many people as we could easily follow them to our destination which was Embrun, 17km with the famous Rabioux wave somewhere in the middle. Lots of eddies and nice wave trains followed all along the route, we did a little bit of surfing and rolling practice also. Rabioux was too strong for us to even enter the wave so we had a little break while watching kids shred in there. There were also lots of tourist rafts so it was really easy to find a ride back to put in to get to our car.
