Full cover of In Flames's [1] classic instrumental song Dreamscape [2] from their debut album Lunar Strain [3], released 30 years ago! 🤘🤘🤘 On June 14 this year (2024) it was 15 years since I started to upload videos to YouTube! 🤘 It started just for fun, with a borrowed recording card, a crappy webcam and no idea about how to record, mix or even play decently!🤣🤣 But it helped me a lot. First, to learn how to record and improve my playing. I learned how to edit videos and to play bass and (somewhat) sing. In retrospect, it helped me a lot to improve in many areas and to keep up to date with my musical duties, even if I wasn't in any active band for so many years... and I'm happy about that!😄 So that's why I couldn't let this year pass without recording something to celebrate it, and it happens that In Flame's Lunar Strain album just turned 30 this year. An album of which I covered a song at the beginning of my YouTube trip (it was the second one 🤘) So I rerecorded, added bass and did a simple video, like the old one... nothing fancy, so you can check the improvement curve from one to the other and judge if the time and effort used on this channel was good! Apart from my ramblings... Awesome Album. I loved it when it got out. Loved Mikael Stanne's [4] vocals on this one and the fresh sound it took on the scene. Still on my favorites list! 🤘 And still a good song to train endurance! Guitars 🎸, bass 🎸 are my fault, the rest comes from the MIDI edition 🎚️🎛️🎶. Primero, para aprender a grabar y mejorar mi manera de tocar. Aprendí a editar videos, a tocar el bajo y (más o menos) a cantar. En retrospectiva, me ayudó mucho a mejorar en muchas áreas y a mantenerme al día con mis tareas musicales, incluso cuando no estuve en ninguna banda activa durante tantos años... ¡y estoy contento por eso! 😄 Por eso no podía dejar pasar este año sin grabar algo para celebrarlo, y resulta que el álbum Lunar Strain de In Flames acaba de cumplir 30 años este año. Un álbum cuya canción cubrí al principio de mi recorrido en YouTube (fue la segunda 🤘). Así que lo volví a grabar, le añadí bajo e hice un video simple, como el anterior... nada elegante, para que puedan ver la curva de mejora de uno a otro y juzgar si el tiempo y el esfuerzo invertidos en este canal valieron la pena. Aparte de mis charlas... ¡Un álbum increíble! Me encantó cuando salió. Me encantaron los vocales de Mikael Stanne [3] en este y el sonido fresco que trajo a la escena. ¡Sigue siendo uno de mis favoritos! 🤘 Y sigue siendo una gran canción para entrena resistencia! Guitarra 🎸 y bajo 🎸 son cosa mía, el resto viene de la edición y el MIDI 🎚️🎛️🎶.
