明式家具——中国传统家具发展史上的一座高峰。 明式家具简练朴素、静穆大方，一榻一几、一桌一柜，凝练了“自然天成”的风格、“虚无空灵”的意境、“美善相生”的功用、“理想浪漫”的精神，也构建了中式美学空间里的琴音墨香、暖烟耳语。它继承了宋代家具的特点，以江南地区为源，于明代嘉靖、万历到清代康熙、雍正年间发展壮大，影响了长江流域及沿海地区家具的制作与使用。 此次展览展出的明式家具绝大多数来自著名学者王世襄和陈梦家的旧藏。这些家具大多以珍贵的黄花梨木和紫檀木制成，是蜚声海内外的精品，更有部分传世的孤品，为中国古代家具的研究提供了重要实物参考。 --- Ming-style furniture represents a pinnacle in the history of traditional Chinese furniture development. Characterized by simplicity and elegance, Ming-style furniture features a serene and dignified aesthetic. Each piece, whether a bed or a table, encapsulates styles that reflect "natural beauty," "ethereal ambiance," "functional harmony," and "idealistic romance," creating an artistic space filled with the sounds of strings and the fragrance of ink, as well as the warmth of whispered conversations. This style inherited characteristics from Song Dynasty furniture and originated in the Jiangnan region, flourishing during the Jiajing and Wanli periods of the Ming Dynasty and continuing to develop during the Kangxi and Yongzheng periods of the Qing Dynasty. It significantly influenced furniture production and usage in the Yangtze River basin and coastal areas. The majority of Ming-style furniture showcased in this exhibition comes from the esteemed collections of renowned scholars Wang Shixiang and Chen Mengjia. Most of these pieces are crafted from precious woods such as huanghuali (yellow pear wood) and zitan (red sandalwood), making them exquisite works celebrated both domestically and internationally.
