I ripped each board to have a straight edge – each board was then cut to length (64” long), which resulted in 2 boards 64” x 10.5” x 1.5”. I planned them to 1.125” thick, and then glued the top together resulting in a 64” x 21” x 1.125” slab. Legs: Six legs are made from 2x4 boards – surfaced planed for smoothness and then ripped on each side for a straight edge. Legs are ~26.75” tall. Width frame support (horizontal pieces the shelves are attached to on the sides): Nine width supports that are ~17.25” long (made from 2x4) – surface planed for a straight edge (same size as the legs) Length frame support (horizontal pieces in the front/back that the shelves attach to) – Twelve pieces 26.625” long made from 2x4 ripped in half (again the 2x4s used here were surfaced planed the same size as the other support pieces) Appearance boards (shelves) – These were made from 1” x 12” x 8’, two boards were glued together (on the width) to make a slab ~ 61” x 20.25”. I cut the notches out after I had the exact size. **I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND making the frame shelves first and then matching the shelves to them rather than making the shelves first** X pieces – These were made from 2x4 board ripped in half and then traced on the angle while overlapping (see video at 3:10). I have no idea the angle of each, but I started with about a 32” board (plenty of extra) to make the x’s with. Filmed with a GoPro Hero 6 Black in 1080p @ 30fps.
