July 25th, 2025 Returning to Pittsburgh for the first time since the fall of 2019, there have been changes in the transit scene: Port Authority Transit (simply known locally as PAT) has rebranded and is now Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT). With the name change comes a new logo and assorted paint schemes and wraps. New buses have also been arriving and older ones put out to pasture; at the time of this video, all the remaining 5000-series Gillig buses have been retired, and more new Gillig and New Flyer buses have replaced them. In this video, you will see an assortment of buses, some in the new PRT schemes, some still in Port Authority lettering, on various routes at University Blvd Park & Ride, 6th & Smithfield, and along Arlington & Warrington Avenues. Recorded over the course of the day from 8:45am to 6:10pm.
