Calico Mountains - Mule Canyon - Kramer Arch Crazy Fun, I heard that there was a "90mph Wind Gust Warning" on the radio for the High Desert out in the vicinity of Barstow California. So that sounded like a great adventure to me. I thought 90 mph is crazy, so off I went. The dirt starts at Calico Road and Mule Canyon Road (CM7630). I travel through some beautifully painted desert walls, and I wound up on West Phillips Drive ( Trial) to Kramers Arch. There was a nice little cove East of Kramer to hide in. Had to get out of the harsh wind for the night. Once I woke in the morning I knew the wind was here for the day. It blew hard all night long 50/70 mph gusts.
